This is a helpful innovation. Say you have a steel door with a window in it, like many folks do. You want a tamper-proof door that will protect you from burglary. You also want to be able to see who's on the other side of it, without allowing them to spy on you inside. How will you attach blinds to the window frame? It's not as if you can just whack a nail through steel. Your screw driver won't get you as well far either. Do you break down and beg the neighbor with all the power tools for help? That won't be necessary, due to you have a better option.
These blinds attach the the frame using powerful magnets. Forget about buying a special bit for your drill. This just snaps together instantly. No costly instilation fees, or the need to owe anyone a favor, you did it yourself in 3 seconds.
The blinds are durable aluminum, and come in a half or full size, to suit your window. The half blind measures 25 inches by 40 inches. The Full blind measures 25 inches by 68 inches.
Now you can peek out when you want to, and block prying eyes when you want privacy.

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? The Tuscan mirror is of course the fairest mirror on any wall. With a nod to the traditional artisans of Tuscany, this set will make any room look luxurious, opulent, and classy. Add candles and set a romantic mood, or place some thing special on the shelf, and see it's image doubled in the mirror.
In Feng Shui, this doubling of an image doubles the Chi (vital energy) that that image brings. So, if you put a symbol of growth, prosperity, and love over here, you'll double that Chi in your home. The candles will further raise the Chi there, and are especially auspicious in your fame and reputation zone.
This Tuscan style mirror is just the thing to bring a bit of old universe charm to your room decor. The scroll work looks like a carved heirloom, and is echoed in the detailing on the matching candle holders (sconces) and half- moon shaped shelf. This quartet really ties the decor theme together cohesively, and makes a wonderful focal point. The warm hues look like wood and are easy to blend with your room's color pallet.
Made of poly-resin and glass: the mirror measures 18 inches by 28 inches and 3/4, and is 1 inch thick; the shelf measures 18 inches by 4 and 1/2 inches by 3 and 1/2 inches; each candle holder measures 9 inches by 3 inches by 12 inches.

A kitchen where delicious food is created, is a kitchen where the cook feels good about life. What things make you feel good about life? Bring those elements into your kitchen decor.
If romance inspires you to create gorgeous meals, then hang photos of your loved one on the kitchen wall, and train garlands of edible flowers to creep from your windowsill planter box, in through the window, and around it. Place candles around the kitchen, and use romantic lighting when you cook. Your cooking then becomes an offering of devotion, seduction, and admiration.
If your cooking is your connection to your heritage or your ancestors, decorate your kitchen with your ethnic art. Frame one of your favorite ancestral photos, and hang it on the wall.
You can also place old hand written recipes in layers to cover the kitchen table, and then cover that with a sheet of clear glass. This makes a rustically lovely decor focal point, or a classically elegant one if you write the recipes in calligraphy. Your guests will ooh and?ahh over this creative design.
If you want to cook healthful meals, hang a picture of yourself doing a realistic activity that can only be done with a strong healthy body (relative to your own circumstances), and a focused mind. If you have a family, hang photos of them showing off their health and strength as well. For instance, a photo of your child proudly displaying a school assignment that earned a high grade, or flexing her/his biceps and smiling with white teeth, shows the rewards for eating healthful foods. Hang colorful charts depicting the ratio of proteins to carbohydrates that you need, and hang pretty pictures of beautiful organic fruits and vegetables. These will give you an appetite for what is good for you, instead of tempting you to eat junk food. Natural produce comes in all colors (even blue – for blueberries), so you can make a gorgeous rainbow on your wall.

The color Taupe is neutral without being as well cold or as well warm. This midpoint between grey and brown is harmonious and allows a meditative frame of mind. The many tonal variations of taupe allow it to compliment a wide variety of decor choices including silver colored metals, and it looks especially good with natural fibers and materials.
In a Taupe colored room, you need layers of texture for contrast. An embroidered bedspread is set off by satiny pillows. Rough flag stone and sheer drapes allow two taupe colored design elements to contrast, while complimenting each other.
Decor choices that blend harmoniously with Taupe include: Paint that is pure white; wood that is stained dark; natural linens with purple undertones; glass that is clear, used in vases, lamp bases, and knobs; stones that contain blue or grey; mom of pearl; metals with a silver hue; brown and grey d?cor items, especially when combined; and accents of red, green, or purple for a splash of drama.
D?cor choices that do not go well with taupe include anything that contains yellow, such as: paint or porcelain that is buttery or creamy colored; woods that are golden colored, like oak and unfinished pine; linens that are yellow hued; leathers that are tan or buckskin colored; stones or carpets that contain beige; accessories that have yellow undertones, like brass and copper, or anything sand toned.

Do you want better quality in your love life? Romantic room decor is what you need to set the stage for life's finer experiences. It makes no difference whether you are single or coupled, young or old; a bit of romance in your home decor can lift your spirits, put you in the right mood for romance, or simply help you to feel more creative and motivated.
over here are two tips that will help you to get began:
1)? The room's lighting is very crucial. Raspberry colored light makes everyone look good, and can be achieved with the use of organza drapes and paper or cloth lampshades.
2) The use of natural materials like bamboo and organic cotton, create soft textures that enrich the room's sensuality.
A romantic room makes you feel more optimistic about life and improves the way you feel about yourself. When you feel better, you look better, and you communicate in a more attractive way. Romantic designs for your home are a good investment in your relationships.

In terms of form, shape and material, this octagonal oak clock can be a great addition to any room. Its whimsical nature though, showing the days instead of the home means it makes an extra statement. It tells the viewers to take time more slowly, consider the days, rather than the hours, and not worry about the exact time.

Places where you may want to use this clock could be anywhere that's signified for relaxation. A guest room, a holiday home, a sun-room, or even your kitchen or living room, if you're lucky enough to be living in a relaxed pace.
This can be a great gift, with a message embedded. Either to some one who has just retired and can appreciate the humor, or as a message to time-stressed friend suggesting taking things at a dissimilar pace.

You just can't go wrong with a gorgeous Persian style carpet. This one has the best color combo you could ask for, in a traditional design that has a timeless beauty. It's a design element around which to base a room's decor, and looks great with both unfinished and stained wood furniture. The sage green, wine, cream and peach accents give you several tasteful options for drapes and upholstery.? Lay this Area Rug over hard wood floors, planet earth tone colored ceramic tile, and cream colored wall to wall carpets for elegant visual harmony.
The rug is made of polypropylene fibers, so it can withstand the wear and tear of daily foot traffic and spills. However, the Home Dynamix Royalty Traditional Area Rug is so pretty, you may want to hang it on your wall with tall twin potted plants on either side of it, or a? chaise-longue underneath it.? It makes an excellent receding horizon at the end of a hall way or at the top of a stair landing, due to of its layered design depth. If your room has structural arches or arched windows, this rug is a must-have. Add a few West Asian copper accesories, like a Morrocan style round table (or this Glass-Top Console Table – Copper)

, and the Turkish Coffee Set for Two

,or a tall traditional Arab tea pot/server like the one in this poster, which would look great framed on an adjacent wall.:

Old Arabian Coffee Pot and Jars, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Middle East Photographic Poster Print by Amanda Hall, 24×32.
For romantic lighting attempt the 2 Arabian Palace Amber Candle Holder lanterns

For the final touch, add an Aladin style lamp ( check out the 5″ Brass Aladdin Incense Lamp, Embossed)

Burn exotic incense to complete the ambiance, and you'll feel like you're in a West Asian palace.
It all starts with the right rug.

over here's a neat way to outline a window, archway, ramp, or pillar. Look around your home. What is the most interestingly shaped design feature? Would it look beautiful if it were outlined in the dark by tiny white lights?
attempt running this tube lighting along the lines you wish to accentuate. This would be especially pretty along the arch of a bridge in a garden pond, or overhead along archways in the room's architecture. An atrium lit this way would be especially pleasing, as would the ceiling of a dining room. You'd feel as if you were picnicing under the stars.
This clear PVC tubing encases small light bulbs that are built in. The light bulbs last for 35,000 hours, and the diameter of the tubing is only 3/8 of an inch. This means it is easily used in places where you would trip over some thing larger that protrudes farther. That's why it is often used to light walk ways in gardens, or steps in theaters and restaurants.
The rope comes in different lengths, although the one shown over here is a close up view of part of the shortest (6 foot) model. They can be attached end to finish to make a long continuous strand.

The KidKraft Boat Bed is just what you need to make your toddler believe that going to bed is fun!
Who wouldn't want to drift off to sleep floating over imaginary seas? This bed has decorative rails to keep toddlers from rolling off in their sleep, but the bed is low enough for them to climb in and out by them selves. This is a good transitional bed for little tikes who have out grown their cribs, but need an incentive to stay in their own bed instead of hiding in yours. Since their bed is much more glamorous, they'll be proud to sleep in it. They can make believe they are sailing, fishing, scuba diving, and having adventures with pirates.
The rubber wood construction makes use of agriculturally grown trees that would have been destroyed after their latex production season anyway, so by using rubber-wood, you spare the ecosystem from deforestation. This wood should be kept indoors, and never put in real water, but it sure is fun pretending to be out on the high seas, or gently rocking in the marina. String colored lights for the marina effect, or play soothing recordings of waves and hump back whale songs for ambiance. Sea Shanties make good lullaby.
The bed has a convenient storage compartment, fits most crib mattresses (not included), and measures:
72.5″ x 32″ x 20.25″

This is a must have for your shower decor. You know how you want to shave in the shower where the steam softens your beard or body hair, but the very same steam fogs up the mirror leaving you to shave by braille? Well, not any more. This design keeps the mirror from ever getting foggy, even in direct steam. Not only will it stay clear so you can see yourself, rotating the mirror also allows for anywhere from 1 to 5 times the magnification, so you can get a closer look at what you're doing. This is especially helpful for people who wear glasses, and have trouble shaving or removing make up without the help of magnification. Just turn the frame like a dial till you approximate the effect of your prescription lenses to compensate for your vision.
The 6 inch diameter mirror mounts by suction to the slick surface of your shower wall, and has a built in holder for your razor. The round shape means there are no sharp edges to bump into when you have soap in your eyes, and the reflective surface is specially made to resist breaking.
This is the most helpful and convenient product to improve your shower in a long time.
It makes a great gift as well!

When choosing furniture for your babies, toddlers, and kids, you have several things to keep in mind. How safe is this product? Does it meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC ) safety guidelines? That may not be enough. The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) sets a higher safety standard for certification than the CPSC does. The JPMA certified product index gives you a constantly updated list of manufacturers of JPMA-certified baby cribs.
But is that enough? While JPMA may certify that there is no lead in the furniture paint, there may be other toxic substances that JPMA doesn't check for, and aren't regulated in the industry. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde are found in many conventional paints, paint strippers, varnishes, furniture oils, caulking, glues, adhesives, and wood preservatives. You need to check what emissions are wafting out of the furniture with the cute decorations. There is nothing cute about sick babies.
The other thing you need to consider is how easy it will be to clean the furniture. Juveniles aren't sterile beings; you will be doing lots of wiping, moping, and disinfecting. Take that into account when you choose furniture. Is it easy to clean underneath? Does it have molding and decorative grooves that will be difficult to scrub? Where might the germs and dust hide from you? Choosing kid's furniture is all about foresight and prevention.

Scented candles are a wonderful way to add a personal soothing touch to any room. Bedrooms in particular can benefit from the candle effect, be it in the form of several small candles, or a single unique candle, such as this one.

The translucent gel cubes in pink and lavender add a delicious effect to the whole setting, making this candle a characteristically feminine decorative item for a bedroom, bathroom or even a woman's office. You could use this in a living room as well, though it is probably better suited for the living quarters of a woman.

over here's a fun wall design element. This cheerful looking frog was hand cut from steel drums and hand painted in Haiti. What better way to enliven a tropical or bamboo theme than with a splash of color? In addition to the sultry island evenings this art piece brings to mind, a reminder of fragile rain forest eco systems prompts us to waste less. Made from a steel drum, this piece of art is an example of creative reuse.
The Chinese consider a three legged toad to be a good luck symbol likely to bring good fortune and help you to make money, some thing we could all use a bit of help with these days. This frog is therefor a good part of a Feng Shui design for the kitchen, which is the symbolic room of abundance and wealth. If you have a bathroom, laundry room, or pantry room with no window, the Feng Shui masters suggest adding a red decor item. This little red frogy is just right for the job.
kids will love this bright and happy little frog. He helps turn any room into a jungle. A hanger on the back makes it easy to wall mount this pretty fella. Approximately 9″ W x 9″ H, this extremely durable metal decor item will last, and is appropriate for use in your garden as well. Hung on a door, this frog helps small kids to identify their own room.

Your bed can become a volcano if you do a bit of creative decor.
Start with a bed that has a head board but no foot board. Paint the whole bed black. Upholster the head board with bright red satin in the shape of lava flowing down and out ward to spread over the base from a single spot on the top surface of the headboard. This will make a nice back rest when stuffed. The river of glowing hot lava is continued with the bedding.
Cover the bed in matching red satin sheets, pillow cases, comforter cover, and bead spread to look like the continuation of the lava flow coming from the volcano's vent, and add a few black throw pillows to look like chunks of cooled hardened lava that broke off. The bed skirt could be either red or black, depending on how old you want the lower lava flow to look. A red satin skirt over a black frame would give the impression of layered stratigraphy and help to create the lava falls spilling onto the floor.
A red curvy area rug at the side or foot of the bed would continue that lava theme, making it appear to pool. Surround the rug with black bean bag chairs to look like cooled hardened lava rock formations.
For added effect, paint the wall over the top of the head board to look like a rising plume of smoke and ash.
If your volcano is underwater, add lots of bubbles to the painting of rising ash plumes. If you are really ambitious, you can attach a shelf to the back of the headboard and sit a bubble machine on it, hidden under the top surface, just behind the place you've made to look like the vent point. The bubble machine should always be operated with an adult present.
The lava bed is one of the easier theme beds to design and create.

Remember the post about techniques for making your decor items look like antiques, even if they aren't? Well, over here's an example of the “distressed” finishing that makes an item look as if aged by time, when it is really just? painted by some one who knows what they are doing. This mirror has all the charm of an antique, and looks like one.
The vintage design is pretty, resembling twigs with birds perched on them. The organic lines bring taste and understated elegance to your room's decor, and the colors easily blend with your theme.
This would be an extremely good mirror to use as a Feng Shui cure, as it combines more than one of the 5 elements.
The mirror is 22 inches in diameter, making it practical for grooming, and not only for Feng Shui. But if you do use it for Feng Shui, remember that mirrors represent virtual windows when placed on an indoor wall that blocks Chi (vital energy); so use the mirror like a portal, where there is blockage or stagnation of energy flow.
The bare twigs could represent potential for growth in a dormant period, so this might be well placed where you archive projects you plan to do next year, rather than where you are trying to bring some thing to fruition right now.

The Orbit Wall clock is an extremely contemporary decor piece. The rainbow colored balls marking the hours add a whimsical and attractive flavor to any room. The shapes on the hour and minute hands further enhance the modern art quality of this fun timepiece, and make it easy to read at a distance. The colors make a wonderful accent to contrast with the wall behind it. If your decor theme is modern art, this is the perfect way to marry function and form. Kids rooms look great with this clock, and it teaches them to memorize the location of each hour. An outer-space decor theme is complimented by the orb shapes on this clock. It would also feel right at home in retro themed decor.

In Feng Shui, spherical shapes, like those used in this clock, are good for balancing the right combination of energies in your home or office. Added prosperity comes from maintaining this balance. As an accent piece, the clock is a colorful and pleasant addition to a room; as a Feng Shui cure, the clock is a Chi balancer, and reminds us to balance the the time we spend each day doing things that keep us materially, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally well.
The spheres also remind us of the cyclical nature of life. This may be especially helpful to those experiencing hard times, and may comfort those experiencing a loss or bereavement.
The Orbit Wall Clock makes a great gift!

Mirrors can be a great way to add a feeling of space to any room, yet at times they may take away from the intimacy you may want to have there. One great solution is a screen of mirrors, which you can choose if and when to locate at which room. This screen will hide one side, creating privacy, while creating more room elsewhere.

The three panel divider, with its antique style mahogany frame can fit well into any large room that requires the option for temporary separation. It works well in the bedroom, where the mirror side can be useful for creating a nice private dressing area.
